Date Night Dress

Date Night Dress

Sometimes a girl just needs to put on something more than a pair of jeans and boots for date night. Sometimes we want to feel more fancy… Put on some heels, show some leg, order a martini! Maybe going to your local/regular spot? Maybe you’re trying a new restaurant? Either way, I like to make date night a little more special, for both me and my husband, by wearing a dress that makes me feel pretty, and therefore happy, and therefore content and mindful in my evening.

Recently received this feminine little frock in my latest Wantable style edit. Here is another one of those pieces that I would not have necessarily chosen off of the rack, but once I put it on, I really liked the look and feel of the dress. This has hands down been the best benefit from joining Wantable. I get to try clothing I would not have tried on before, had it not been delivered to my front door!

I kept this dress because the pattern was subtle yet playful with warm/maroon tones. The ruffle and button closure collar is such a pretty and feminine touch that really appealed to  me. Sleeves are slightly belled to stay on trend and lend to the flowy feel of the dress. Tie front belt defines the waist and lets me incorporate another bow into my outfit! *I also added a simple black satin bow to dress up my simple low ponytail. The black strappy sandals and wristlet were easy, no-fail choices. I can also see myself pairing this dress with black suede thigh-high boots… but we’ll have to see if those are sticking around for Fall fashion again this year.
